Popular & easy

Perfect for first-time sailors or relaxed summer charters. These are well-connected, easy to plan, and offer a great mix of comfort, charm, and calm conditions.

Mediterranean

Warm breezes, crystal-clear waters, and centuries of history make the Med a firm favourite. Whether you’re meandering through the Greek islands, hopping from Croatia’s walled towns to hidden bays, or exploring the colourful villages of Italy’s coast, there’s something for everyone. Most routes are line-of-sight and well protected, with short hops between stops and excellent marina facilities.

Best for: Culture lovers, foodies, families
Sailing experience: Beginner–Intermediate

Seychelles

The Seychelles offers smooth sailing and postcard-perfect surroundings: white sand beaches, giant tortoises, coral reefs, and warm, steady trade winds. Most charters begin from Mahé, with easy anchorages and plenty of time to explore at a relaxed pace. The sailing conditions are gentle, making it a great choice for a laid-back or first-time tropical charter.

Best for: Couples, families, snorkellers, island-hoppers
Sailing experience: Beginner

Thailand

A tropical year-round escape with dramatic limestone cliffs, golden temples, and vibrant street markets. Sailing the Andaman Sea (especially around Phuket and Phang Nga Bay) offers calm waters, protected anchorages, and short sailing legs. You’ll find fantastic snorkelling, mouth-watering food, and a warm welcome everywhere you go.

Best for: Cultural adventure, winter sun, relaxed sailing
Sailing experience: Beginner–Intermediate

Tried & true, with a twist

These destinations offer something a little more exotic or seasonal, with stunning sailing but often more planning or timing needed.

Caribbean

From rum-soaked beach bars to turquoise anchorages and lush volcanic peaks, the Caribbean ticks all the boxes for a relaxed charter holiday. Depending on the island group, you’ll find steady trade winds, beautiful moorings, and island-hopping routes that range from lively to remote. The best sailing is between December and May, when conditions are dry and comfortable.

Best for: Island-hoppers, couples or groups
Sailing experience: Beginner–Intermediate

The Bahamas

With hundreds of islands and shallow turquoise waters, the Bahamas offers simple, satisfying sailing and a totally relaxed rhythm. Days are spent barefoot on deck, anchoring off deserted beaches or stopping for conch salad in a sleepy marina. Expect short sails, easy navigation, and a cheerful, no-fuss sailing experience.

Best for: Families, relaxing bareboat sailing, kitesurfing, thrill-seekers
Sailing experience: Beginner

Madagascar & Maldives

Remote, romantic, and wrapped in luxury, Madagascar and the Maldives reward those who go a little further. In the Maldives, you’ll sail between coral atolls with powder-soft beaches and snorkelling like nowhere else. Madagascar may take more effort to reach, but the untouched beauty and breath-taking vistas are worth the trek. Conditions vary by season, and planning a charter here requires more lead time — but it’s entirely worth the effort.

Best for: Seclusion, snorkelling, wildlife
Sailing experience: Intermediate (with skipper often required)

Remote & Bespoke

For seasoned sailors, special occasions, or those with something truly unique in mind.

South Pacific (Tahiti, Fiji)

Think blue lagoons, uninhabited islets, and warm Polynesian hospitality. These destinations are breathtaking and remote — perfect for couples celebrating something big or sailors who’ve done the Med and Caribbean and want more. Conditions are typically calm inside reefs but more challenging outside. Some prior sailing experience (or a skipper) is recommended.

Best for: Honeymoons, cultural depth, dreamlike seclusion, surfers, diving
Sailing experience: Intermediate–Advanced

Asia beyond Thailand

Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam are emerging as stunning charter options for those craving something completely different. From the Komodo Islands to Palawan, you’ll find remote beaches, volcanic landscapes, and truly local experiences. Logistics can be more complex here, and most charters are best done with a local skipper or crewed yacht.

Best for: Adventurers, seasoned travellers, cultural immersion, wildlife
Sailing experience: Intermediate–Advanced (crewed charters recommended)

Anywhere Else?

Chile? Iceland? Panama? If there’s water and wind, we’ll explore it with you. We’re always excited to help plan something bold and different. Whether it’s crossing an ocean, Small charters in far off places, or sticking to the path least sailed.

Best for: Ambitious travellers, off-the-map explorers
